Simple SetupThis device uses one piece of CAT5/6/7 cable to extend the HDMI signal up to 200ft at 1080p. It not only breaks the limitation of HDMI cable lengths but also has more flexibility and convenience for installation. It is equipped with HDMI connectors that will also support DVI equipment when using an HDMI to DVI converter, which will provide more flexibility when integrating with several home theater components. The extender system consists of a transmitter and a receiver unit. Connect your HDMI source such as a set-top box. DVD player or gaming console to the Transmitter with an HDMI cable. The Transmitter will connect to the Receiver through a CAT cable and finally, the display will connect to the Receiver with an HDMI cable. |
How do you perform the EDID copy function?Connect the transmitter to an available HDMI input port of your display via HDMI cable. Power on your display and set your display’s source to the corresponding HDMI input port. Power on your transmitter. Press the EDID button for 1-2 seconds. Your status lights will change from red to green, then back to red. This indicates a successful EDID copy. Disconnect the power adapter from the transmitter before re-connecting the transmitter to your source device. |

Works very well! Noticed no issues with lag or response time… using CAT 7 cable.

So far works great on a 100′ CAT6 run from a Monoprice HDMI splitter/switch to an outdoor HDTV. The extender box gets really warm and the power adapter cord doesn’t seem to fit really well in the extender box, occasionally interrupting the picture/sound but a little jiggle brings everything back. Its the only solution that’s worked so very happy.

Excellent set of bayluns, two complaints – the TV you are extending using these appears to show a slightly darker picture, the other complaint is both sides are powered, but not a huge deal. either way, they work as advertised, I used non-shielded Cat5E, roughly a 25′ run.

So far, it has worked perfectly. The company has been extremely responsive and customer-friendly. The secret to these devices is how long they last in operation (tendency is to heat up and that kills life expectancy on electrical devices) so we will see how long this one lasts. But for starters, I am very satisfied.
