Challenge
Flexibility is the most important characteristic of an AV System that is deployed in a sports bar or restaurant. Especially when the staff is handling multiple sources and displays on a daily basis. The traditional way was to put cable boxes under each TV, which is inefficient and inconvenient. Scalability is also another important factor that AV designers need to plan. The system should have the ability to be easily expanded regardless of sources and displays.
Solution
The J-Tech Digital AV over IP products (JTECH-EX-120M-UN-S,TECH-EX-120M-UN-R,TECH-EX-120M-UN-T) enable up to 22 sources and displays in a single switch(JTECH-EX-120M-UN-S). You also can add more switches to extend the system. With the web GUI and Android cell phone app control, it makes the video routing control easy and smooth.
HDMI Matrix switch or extenders:
HDMI Matrix Switcher can display video from multiple HDMI video sources to multiple HDMI LCDs, or TVs with the connection of HDMI cables. HDMI Matrix extender refers to the matrixes combine the functionality of both an HDMI Matrix Switch and an HDMI Extender into a single matrix switch box. HDMI Matrix extenders can provide the same functionality of the HDMI Matrix switch connected with CAT5/6 cables where the HDMI signal is transmitted from the source videos to the display. These boxes can be as small and simple as a 2×2 which is 2 sources to 2 displays. They have also evolved to a 4×4, 8×8, 16×16, 32×32 or even more.
AV Over IP:
This solution provides the ultimate flexibility, allowing bar or restaurant owners to pull from a large number of sources, including game broadcasts, archived media files and more, and deploy them across monitors, displays, projectors or other devices as needed. The source devices are connected to devices called encoders, which stream the video over IT network. Devices called decoders are then placed behind each TV. These decoders can play the video stream from any encoder, no matter where it is located in the IT network. This makes it easy to send video anywhere you want it within the bar or restaurant, allowing you to add and remove displays and even scale up or down for specific events.
